Procurement and security
What procurement, legal and IT teams usually ask for. If you need something that isn't here, send me a message and I'll answer in writing.
Payment
- Card through Stripe by default.
- Invoice and purchase order on request, with 14-day payment terms.
Contracts
- No minimum term. Each cycle runs for 30 days.
- I can sign your MSA and NDA, or send you mine.
- The standard terms cap liability at one billing cycle. Under a signed MSA, we can agree a different cap.
Insurance
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance. Certificates on request.
Security
- Your software runs in your own cloud accounts, in the region you choose, such as Australia or the EU.
- I only get the access a task needs, and you can revoke it at any time.
- AI features use providers that don't train on your data. We agree what the system can read before anything connects.
- Backup and recovery arrangements agreed for each project, in your account. Dependency updates while you're subscribed.
- I fill in security questionnaires. If you need ISO 27001 or SOC 2 controls, we scope them before work starts.
Intellectual property
- You own the code I write for you once the cycle is paid. It lives in your repositories from day one.
- I keep the rights to my existing tools and reusable parts. You get a permanent, royalty-free licence to use and change them in your software.
- Open-source parts keep their own licences.
Continuity
- Your code and hosting stay in your accounts, and every project ships with a handover document. See the safeguards
